Poland Travel Itinerary

We invite you on a unique 13-day journey through Poland – a country of rich history, picturesque landscapes, and diverse traditions. During the trip, we will visit some of the most important and beautiful places that shape Poland’s unique character: from the vibrant capital city of Warsaw, through historic Lublin and the royal city of Kraków, to the magical Gdańsk by the Baltic Sea and the charming Toruń. We will explore the majestic Malbork Castle, admire the underground chambers of the Wieliczka Salt Mine, and experience the special atmosphere of Zakopane at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.

There will also be time for relaxation – we will unwind at the luxurious Talaria Resort & Spa, and in Łódź we will enjoy shopping at the famous Manufaktura. Throughout the journey, participants will travel comfortably by minibus and stay in carefully selected four-star hotels.

This tour is a perfect combination of sightseeing, cultural discoveries, encounters with nature, and moments of relaxation. Poland, in all its diversity, is waiting to inspire and amaze you!

Day 1: Arrival in Poland and Accommodation in Trojanów

Overnight: Trojanów (Talaria Resort & Spa)

  • Arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) (flight by Ethiopian Airlines).
  • Transfer to the Talaria Resort & Spa in Trojanów (approximately a 1-hour drive from the airport).
  • Check-in, lunch, and time to rest after your journey.
  • In the evening, a formal welcome dinner.

Day 2: Excursion to Lublin

Overnight: Trojanów (Talaria Resort & Spa)

  • After breakfast, departure for Lublin.
  • City tour – the historic Old Town, Renaissance architecture, royal castle, city gates and picturesque streets.

Day 3: Sandomierz and Arrival in Krakow

Overnight: Krakow

  • After breakfast, a drive through the picturesque Vistula River valley to Sandomierz. This charming town is a magnificent example of Renaissance architecture. The tour includes a walk through the streets of the Old Town, a visit to the Royal Castle, and a tour of the Underground Tourist Route.
  • In the afternoon, transfer to Krakow and begin the city tour. A three-hour walk will cover the city’s highlights, including the Royal Route, the Wawel Castle complex with its Cathedral and Sigismund Bell, the medieval St. Mary’s Basilica, the Baroque Church of Saints Peter and Paul, and the historic Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).
  • In St. Mary’s Basilica, we will witness the unveiling of the famous wooden altarpiece carved by Veit Stoss between 1477-1489. From one of the church’s towers, the Hejnał Mariacki (St. Mary’s Trumpet Call) is played every hour, its melody famously ending mid-note.
  • In the evening, an optional guided tour of the Old Town (a UNESCO World Heritage site). The program includes a tasting of seven types of traditional Polish vodka at the best local bars and cafes, paired with a sampling of local snacks and delicious pierogi (dumplings).

Day 4: Wieliczka Salt Mine and Transfer to Zakopane

Overnight: Zakopane

  • After breakfast, a visit to one of Poland’s most precious monuments – the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine. An unforgettable tour through medieval chambers, chapels, and halls carved entirely out of rock salt. It is a unique place on a global scale.
  • After the tour, transfer to Zakopane for check-in and an overnight stay.
  • Optional: visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum.

Day 5: Discovering Zakopane

Overnight: Zakopane

  • Morning: A tour of Zakopane, the winter capital of Poland. The program includes the Wielka Krokiew ski jump, the most beautiful examples of the region’s characteristic wooden architecture (Zakopane style), and a visit to the historic Pęksowy Brzyzek National Cemetery. This will be followed by a funicular railway ride up Gubałówka Hill, which offers a magnificent panorama of the High Tatra Mountains.
  • Afternoon: Free time for shopping on the famous Krupówki Street and for tasting local specialties, including the traditional oscypek (smoked sheep’s cheese). For those interested, there is an option for a two-hour guided walk through one of the valleys of the Tatra National Park.

Day 6: Częstochowa and Transfer to Warsaw

Overnight: Warsaw

  • After breakfast, transfer to Częstochowa for a visit to the Pauline Monastery of Jasna Góra, Poland’s most important pilgrimage center. We will see the famous painting of the Black Madonna, before which thousands of pilgrims pray each year.
  • After the visit, transfer to Warsaw for check-in and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Warsaw City Tour

Overnight: Warsaw

  • A morning guided tour of the capital of Poland. We will see the city, impressively rebuilt after World War II, which has been the seat of the Polish government since the 16th century. The route will cover the most important sites: the Old Town with the Royal Castle, the Royal Route with the Presidential Palace and Warsaw University, and the Royal Łazienki Park with the Chopin Monument. We will also visit the area of the former Jewish ghetto and see the Palace of Culture and Science.
  • In the afternoon, free time or optional activities: a Chopin piano concert, a tasting of traditional Polish food in one of the Old Town’s restaurants, or a Polish folk dance show.

Day 8: Gdańsk – City of Freedom and Amber

Overnight: Gdańsk

  • After breakfast, departure from Warsaw and transfer to Gdańsk – Poland’s main seaport, a former member of the Hanseatic League, and the birthplace of the “Solidarity” movement.
  • Tour of the Main City: the Long Market (Długi Targ), Neptune’s Fountain, Artus Court, and St. Mary’s Basilica (the largest brick Gothic church in Poland).
  • A visit to the European Solidarity Centre, followed by a trip to the Gothic Oliwa Cathedral for an organ concert. On the way, we will stop for photos at the famous Gdańsk Shipyard.
  • To end the day, a culinary workshop combined with lunch, where we will learn how to prepare delicious pierogi.

Day 9: Malbork Castle and a Seaside Resort

Overnight: Gdańsk

  • A trip to Malbork to visit the largest castle in the world. This medieval fortress, built in the 13th century by the Teutonic Knights, is an outstanding example of defensive architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
  • After returning to the coast, free time in Sopot – Poland’s most popular summer resort, famous for having the longest wooden pier in Europe. Alternatively, a visit to Gdynia, a port city where you can admire famous Polish ships.

Day 10: Toruń – City of Copernicus and Gingerbread

Overnight: Toruń

  • Transfer to Toruń – the city of Nicolaus Copernicus, famous for the best gingerbread in the world. As one of the oldest cities in Poland and a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a perfect example of a medieval Gothic town.
  • A private tour of Toruń, including the Gothic Old Town with its Town Hall and Copernicus Monument, churches, the New Town, and the Nicolaus Copernicus House. There will also be an opportunity to taste the famous Toruń gingerbread. Toruń often turns out to be the biggest positive surprise of the entire trip.

Day 11: Łódź and Return to Trojanów

Overnight: Trojanów

  • Transfer to Łódź. Time for shopping and visiting the Manufaktura complex – a revitalized 19th-century factory space.
  • In the afternoon, transfer to Trojanów and check-in again at the Talaria Resort & Spa.

Day 12: Relaxation at the Spa

Overnight: Trojanów

  • A day dedicated to relaxation, rest, and enjoying the amenities at the Talaria Resort & Spa.

Day 13: Departure

  • Free time
  • In the afternoon ransfer to Warsaw Chopin Airport for your departure from Poland.
